Our client, a multi-strategy private equity investment firm with over $13B AUM is looking for a fund accountant in their NYC Office. The position will report into the Controllers and CFO.

This candidate will be:

● Validating the NAV for the Funds prepared by the fund administrator
● Interact with the external audit and tax reporting processes with big 4 firms
● Compile, analyze and prepare of Funds financial data and operating metrics
● Investor reporting and responsible for due diligence information requests from investors
● Prepare investor capital calls and distributions
● Investor commitments and capital account management
● Responsible for the completion of investor questionnaires
● Responsible for due diligence information requests from investors during fundraising
● Management fee and waterfall calculations
● Preparing and monitoring Fund expenses and vendor payments
● Responsible for investor expense allocation and tracking
● Assist with compliance and regulatory filings
● Preparing financial data for the management company
● Working on ad hoc projects

Educational requirements:

The Ideal Candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Experience requirements:

This position offers excellent opportunities in a dynamic environment. To qualify, candidates must have:

● 2-3 years of experience, preferably with a mixed of public/private and CPA
● Fund accounting experience
● Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
● Thorough and meticulous with extreme focus on details
● Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work independently and in a team environment
●Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative
● Ability to multi-task with good time management skills to meet multiple reporting deadlines
● Good process management skills


CPA is a plus, not required
